Cathy Callo Francis has been, performing, recording, and teaching children’s music in the Tidewater, Virginia area since1989.

Teaching Experience includes:
Pre-school music program called Little Big Band 1989-present
Providing sing-a-longs and music classes to area pre and elementary schools
Music Director JCC-Tidewater summer day camp 1990-1999
Private piano and guitar studio 1990-2002

students, leads workshops, and performs at children’s festivals, arts festivals, bookstores, libraries, restaurants, parties and schools throughout the state.

Some of Cathy's past performance work includes:

• Performer at the JCC-Tidewater summer camp, and Chanukah Book Fairs.1990-2001
• Beach Events - summer entertainer on the Virginia Beach boardwalk.1996
• Music director for "Shakespeare For Our Children"- A children's theatre group. 1994-1996. Cathy wrote and arranged original music for Twelfth Night and a Midsummer Nights Dream
• Performer for the Norfolk and Newport News Public Library Summer Reading Programs 1998-present
• Performer statewide for the Library of Virginia, 2001
• Performer for the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival 1995 to present.
• Monthly performances at Planet Music 1997-1998.
• Performances at Barnes and Noble, Chesapeake, VA. 2000
• Performer at "Storytelling in the Park" series, Hampton, VA. 2000
• Performer at the Second Street Restaurant, Newport News, VA. 2000
• Performer for the Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children's "Week of the Young Child" 1998-present.
• Entertainer for the Little Miss Portsmouth Pageant, Portsmouth, VA, 2001
• Performer for special events at the Virginia Marine Science Museum, Va. Beach and the Mariners Museum, Newport News, VA 2001
  

Recordings include:

• "It's Melody Maker Time" a recording of children's songs
• "Let's All Sing Together" is a collection of some original children's songs as well as some old favorites.
• Cathy wrote and recorded the music for "Fit Kids" a workout video for parents and children.
• Cathy is finishing up a third recording of original children's music to be released soon.
